Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the WhenCanIEat team ("we," "us") governing your use of the WhenCanIEat mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What the App is

WhenCanIEat is a timer for scheduled eating windows. It lets you start a fast, see a countdown or count-up to your next eating window, choose from preset schedules (16:8, 18:6, 20:4, OMAD) or a custom schedule, and view your fasting history and streak. The App is a scheduling and timing tool for personal routine purposes only.

2. Not medical advice

The App does not provide medical, nutritional, or health advice, and it makes no claims about health outcomes, weight, or metabolic effects. It is a convenience tool for tracking time against a schedule you choose. If you have questions about whether any eating schedule is right for you, talk to a qualified professional, not this App.

3. License to use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.

4. Free trial

The App is free to download. Your first 2 fasts are completely free and include the full App, every schedule including custom, Live Activity, Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets, unlimited history, streaks, and stats. Nothing is feature-limited during the trial, and the App is upfront within its interface about when your trial ends.

5. Subscription terms

After your first 2 free fasts, continued use of the App requires an optional, auto-renewing subscription to keep tracking. The subscription is offered in one subscription group with two auto-renewing options, and you choose either when you subscribe:

• Monthly: $0.99 per month (subject to your local currency and store pricing display), shown in full before purchase.
• Yearly: $9.99 per year (subject to your local currency and store pricing display), shown in full before purchase.
• Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal: The subscription automatically renews for successive periods, monthly or yearly matching your chosen plan, at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. We do not increase the renewal price on existing subscribers without following the store's required advance notice and consent process, and it is not our practice to raise this price at all.
• Renewal notice: Apple and Google each send their own renewal reminder before your subscription renews, in addition to the pricing being visible at any time on the App's subscription screen.
• Cancellation: You can cancel any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then, and you are not charged again afterward.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies, since they process the payment. We're glad to help you locate the right place to request one; email support@whencanieat.com.
• Restoring purchases: If you reinstall the App or use a new device signed into the same store account, use the Restore Purchase option in the App to reactivate your subscription.

6. Your data and this App

The App stores your schedule and history locally on your device and does not require an account. See our Privacy Policy for full details. Because we do not hold any account or server-side data for you, we cannot recover local data lost when a device is lost, reset, or has the App deleted.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except as permitted by law, not to use the App in any way that violates applicable law, and not to interfere with the App's operation.

8. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, and content, is owned by the WhenCanIEat team and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the WhenCanIEat team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11. Changes to the App or these Terms

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may suspend or discontinue the App at our discretion; because the App requires no account, there is nothing further to terminate on our end.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the WhenCanIEat team operates, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
